Hardware surface processing subdivision can be divided into: metal painting processing, electroplating, surface polishing processing, metal corrosion processing.
Surface processing of hardware parts:
1. Painting processing: The hardware factory adopts the painting process when producing the large-scale hardware products, and the hardware avoids rusting through the painting process, such as: daily necessities, electrical enclosures, handicrafts, etc.
2, electroplating: electroplating is also the most common processing technology for metal processing. Through the modern technology, the surface of the hardware is electroplated to ensure that the product does not undergo mildew and embroidered for a long time. The common electroplating processes are: screws, stamping parts, Cell sheets, car parts, trinkets, and more.
3, surface polishing processing: surface polishing processing is generally used in daily necessities, through the surface burr treatment of hardware products, such as: we produce a comb, the comb is made of stamped hardware, then the combed corners of the comb It is very sharp, we have to polish the sharp part of the corner into a smooth face by polishing, so that it will not cause harm to the human body during use.
Turning the outer round surface is the basic method for processing the outer round surface in hardware processing. The equipment used is a lathe. In general machinery factories, lathes account for about 40% of the total number of machine tools. Turning is the main method for roughing and semi-finishing the outer circular surface of various materials, and it is also the final finishing method for various materials that are not suitable for grinding.
In the case of single-piece small batch production, the turning outer surface is generally carried out on a conventional lathe. Multi-tool semi-automatic lathes or automatic lathes are widely used in mass production. Large disc parts should be machined on a vertical lathe. Large long shaft parts need to be machined on heavy duty horizontal lathes.

The characteristics of the turning outer surface are:
1, the tool is simple, manufacturing, sharpening and easy to install;
2. The cutting process is stable and the cutting force fluctuation is small, which is beneficial to adopting high cutting speed and improving productivity;
3, the machine tool has good versatility, can process the outer circle, end face, inner hole, thread and chamfer in a single clamping. The mutual positional accuracy between the surfaces is easy to guarantee;
4. Suitable for finishing of non-ferrous metal parts.
